Application for ‘Life Certificate’

Every pensioner is required to submit ‘Life Certificate’ in the month of November for continuation of pension. This year, all pensioners may submit Life Certificate from 1^st November, 2020 onward, till 31^st December, 2020. However, the pensioners in the age group of 80 years and above, can submit Life Certificate from 1^st October, 2020 onward to 31^st December, 2020.

2. If a Pensioner is unable to visit the Consulate, he/she may submit requisite notarized documents by post to the Consulate, including Doctor’s Certificate showing the Pensioner’s inability to present himself/herself in person.


3. Applicants can apply for Life Certificate through PRAMIT at https://www.indiainnewyork.gov.in/Miscellaneous_service


4. Please note that due to Covid-19 pandemic, limited walk-in service will be provided for Life Certificate applicants only (i.e. on any working days between 1^st Oct to 31^st Dec 2020) at the Consulate General of India, New York (3^rd East 64^th Street, New York-10065). Once, the online form is filled using the above link, the applicants would get a pop-up to book appointment for availing walk-in service.
