On 18thSeptember  2013, Amb. DnyaneshwarMulay, Consul General of India in New York at Penn Plaza Pavilion inaugurated an Apparel Trade Show  organized by the Apparel Export Promotion Council of India (AEPC).

The inauguration was presided by Dr. A. Sakthivel,  Chairman of the AEPC along with its Executive Committee Members and media houses including amongst others,Fairchild Fashion Media of Womens Wear Daily (WWD), Sycamore Marketing Group and  Respect Sportswear Inc., who were also present at the event.

At the Trade show that will remain open on 18-19 September 2013, thirty member exporters would be exhibiting their Spring/Summer  2014 collections of Ladies, Men and Children Apparel. More than 150-200 buyers, including Brand Stores are expected to participate in the B-2-B event over the next two days. Some of the major buyers expected to attend the meet include Ralph Lauren; Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Outerstuff, Maggy London, American Eagle, Cosmo Trading Inc., Children Place; Lord & Taylor; Under Amour; VF Sportswear; Nautica; Red Cat; and Jones Apparel.

This Buyer Seller Meet is expected to generate substantial spot business and also help long term business partnerships for participating exhibitors.
