AEPC, as part of its on-going export promotion initiatives, is organizing Buyer Seller Meet for apparel and related accessories at New York, USA for the second time this calendar year. The BSM will be held on 18th and 19th September 2013 at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, at New York. Shri Dnyaneshwar M. Mulay, CGI, New York, will inaugurate the BSM at New York in presence of Chairman AEPC, Dr. A Sakthivel & other important dignitaries on 18th September 2013.
30 Indian Exhibitors shall display their Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Ladies, Men and Children Apparel designed keeping in mind the discerning American customers. Leading US buyers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, mail order companies are expected to attend.  AEPC has tied-up with a New York based Sycamore Marketing Group INS, USA & Respect INC, New York to coordinate and market this Event.
 USA is the number one destination for the export of Indian apparel.  In the year 2012, garment imports into USA were around US$ 80.7 billion out of which India’s share was US$ 3.055 billion i.e. 3.8% share of USA’s total garment imports. For the period Jan-June 2013, garment imports into USA amounted to US$ 37.1 billion, an increase of 3.1% over the corresponding period in 2012.  During Jan-June 2013, India’s share of USA garment imports stood at US $ 1.7 billion i.e. 4.7% share of USA’s total garment import.

Due to the strengths of Indian Garments and Textiles Industry, Indian manufactures have been able to export 236 products across all categories of Knitted and Woven garments. India has an 11.22 million strong skilled and efficient work force and abundant availability of natural Cotton, Silk fabrics and man-made fabrics. Most of the Indian exporters exhibiting at this BSM are manufacturers with fully compliant factories.
