RENEWAL OF OCI

All OCI Card holders may kindly note the following rules with regard to reissue of OCI subsequent to reissue/renewal of Passports:

Overseas Citizen of India Card /registration is required to be got re-issued each time a new Passport is issued up to the age of 20 and once after completing 50 years of age in view of change of appearance. Reissue of OCI is not mandatory each time a new Passport is issued between the age of 21 and 50. In effect :

1) For children upto the age of 20, OCI is to be re-issued each time the US Passport is re-issued.

2) For Adults between the age of 20 to 50 years , there no need to get the OCI re-issued each time the Passport is reissued/renewed.

3) For Adults above the age of 50 , OCI needs to be re-issued only once.
