Renewal /Re-issue of OCI Card

The Procedure to be followed for Re-issue of OCI Card is:

  • The applicant visits the Government of India OCI website (https://ociservices.gov.in/welcome ) to fill the form and upload picture, signature and other documents, as required.
  • Once completed form is submitted a File Reference number will be generated on the form.
  • Print the completed form and then visit Cox & Kings Global Services (CKGS) website (https://www.in.ckgs.us/oci/) to continue with the process.
  • After the process is completed on both Government website and CKGS website, the applicant has to submit the physical application with all the documents to the Consulate’s Outsourcing Partner, CKGS through walk-in or postal option.
  • Payment is to be made directly at the CKGS Centre only for walk-in applicants. Alternatively, the applicant can also send the physical form and documents by mail with the fee enclosed in Postal Money Order or Cashier check form. The fee will comprise of (i) OCI application fee – as per category applied (ii) ICWF Fund fee US $3.00 (iii) CKGS service fee US $ 17.00.
  • If optional services such courier service, SMS etc. are opted; additional amount is to be paid.

Documents Required

  • Application Form
  • Passport Copy
  • Original OCI Card & its Copy
  • Parental Authorization (Only in case of Minors, wherever applicable)
  • Sworn Affidavit (Only in case of applicants who acquired their OCI card on the basis of their spouse under Foreign Spouse Category)

Note : The turn-around time for renewal of OCI at CGI, New York is 2-3 days on receipt of the completed application at the Consulate (excluding CKGS processing time)
