On May 1, 2019 Consul General, Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty accompanied by Mr. Vipulkumar Mesariya, Consul (Political and PIC) visited Wesleyan University where he inaugurated the India Corner at the Olin Library along with Dr. Michael Roth, President of the University. In his remarks, Mr. Chakravorty thanked the University for  dedicating an India Corner with books on varied subjects and assured the University of the Consulate’s continued support towards building a long standing relationship with the University both academically as well as in the field of art and culture.

Dr. Joyce Jacobsen, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Steve  Angle, Director, Fries Center for Global Studies and  other senior officials of the University. , were also present during the inaugural event.

Mr. Chakravorty also held an interaction with students including some of Indian origin studying in varied fields and  apprised them of the growing India-USA academic partnership and opportunities available to study in India.
