Job Vacancy

The Consulate General of India, 3-East, 64th Street, New York, NY- 10065 invites applications for the post of local "CHAUFFEUR", having a pay scale of US$ 3120-94-4530-136-5890-177-7600, for employment. Starting Salary for this post of chauffeur is US$3120 per month, with additional overtime allowances, if any, as per prescribed rates fixed by the MEA, GOI. The applicant should preferably hold at least E - Class New York State Driver License. Applicant must have valid work permit (EAD /permanent residency (Green card) / USA citizen). Applicant must be well versed with the driving of SUV & Sedan class cars; comfortable in use of GPS system; knowledge of local law about driving. Preference would be given to the applicant who has additional knowledge about mechanical parts of system of Chevrolet Suburban vehicle.

Required qualification and skill set:

Grade 12 or above;

Valid driver’s license and experience of at least 3 years of driving skills;

Good verbal communication skills in English.

Willingness to work in odd working hours and on weekends/ holidays

Work Profile

To drive official vehicle to various destination within and outside New York;

To maintain logbook of the vehicle allotted;

To maintain and keep allotted vehicle tidy and clean;

Any other work assigned from time to time.
